Xi Zhang
Xi Zhang received his B.S. and M.S. from Xidian University, Xi'an, China, and M.S. from Lehigh University, PA. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science (EE--Systems) from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
He is currently an assistant professor in the department at Texas A&M. Previously he held positions at the University of Technology, Sydney; James Cook University, Australia; and AT&T Bell Labs, Murray Hills, NJ. Zhang has published more than 80 technical papers in the areas of Mobile Wireless Networks, Wireless Sensor and Ad Hoc Networks and many others.
Zhang received the NSF CAREER Award in 2004 and currently is an editor for the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, an associate editor for the IEEE Communications Letters and the guest editor for the IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine. He has frequently served as a panelist for NSF proposals. Zhang has also served as the chair or co-chair for numerous IEEE/ACM conferences and symposia and has served as a technical program committee member for numerous IEEE/ACM leading conferences, including the IEEE INFOCOM. Zhang is a senior member of IEEE and a member of ACM.
